ALL-TIME SERIES VS MILWAUKEE
The all-time series with the Panthers has been pretty one-sided in favor of Green Bay, 67-19. Milwaukee did manage to upset the Phoenix last season at the Klotsche Center, 72-60. The Phoenix has claimed victories in 10 of the last 11 meetings.
RIVALRY ROUNDUP
Green Bay is 3-0 against in-state rivals this season, having defeated Wisconsin, 67-34, at the Kohl Center and Marquette, 63-55, at home. Most recently, the Phoenix completed the hat trick by taking down Milwaukee, 52-29. Green Bay owns an all-time record of 116-47 against the three D1 programs in the state of Wisconsin.
LINDSTROM MAKING LEAPS
Senior
Jessica Lindstrom enters the matchup with Milwaukee with 11 double-doubles on the season and 34 in her Phoenix career. The program record for double-doubles in the division I era is 35, set by All-American and WNBA Draft Pick Julie Wojta. Lindstrom currently ranks third (first in the D1 era) on Green Bay's all-time rebounding list with 907 rebounds, second place is April Jensen (1979-82) with 1044. Lindstrom is the only player in D1 Phoenix history to reach 900 rebounds.
HISTORY OF SUCCESS
Green Bay has already secured its 41st-consecutive winning season this year and trails only Tennessee (44) for the longest active streak in the nation. Green Bay's streak includes 19-straight conference titles and 17 NCAA Tournament appearances. The Phoenix also clinched its 19th-consecutive 20-plus win season with a victory over the Norse on Thursday, a streak dating back to 1999-00.
THE RISING PHOENIX
Green Bay continued its climb in both the USA Today Coaches Poll this week, rising to No. 17, and held steady in the AP Poll at No. 20. The Phoenix ranks first in collegeinsider.com's and espn.com's mid-major polls.
GREEN BAY VS TOP 100 RPI
It was apparent Green Bay was going to face major tests early and often in the 2017-18 campaign when the schedule was unveiled back in July. Although the season is far from over, it's fair to say the Phoenix has dominated to date, currently owning an 9-1 record against teams in the top 100 RPI. The Phoenix is 4-1 against teams in the top 50.
DEFENSIVE DISPLAY
It is no secret that Green Bay's defense has been locking down teams all season, currently boasting the best statistical defense in the country and allowing only 46.0 PPG. Second place is Central Arkansas, over four points behind the Phoenix at 50.5 PPG.
BATTLE ON THE BOARDS
Green Bay has dominated the battle on the boards all season long, outrebounding its opponents in 20 of its 23 matchups this season. In total, the Phoenix holds an 833-660 rebounding edge over its opposition through 22 games.
DEFENSIVE DOMINANCE
Green Bay currently owns the best statistical defense in the country, allowing a lowly 46.0 PPG. That stat alone is impressive, but when you factor in that five matchups this season have featured opponents that competed in the 2017 NCAA Tournament - one of which was the national runner-up - it's even more impressive. Green Bay ranks 13th (2.9.18) in RPI entering the matchup with Milwaukee.
PAINTING A PICTURE
Green Bay has dominated the paint this season and held an advantage scoring inside every game this year. All told, the Phoenix has outscored its opponents 790-326 in the paint through 23 games and held a double-digit scoring advantage inside in 20 games this year.
