MILWAUKEE, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay women's tennis team concluded their season on Saturday, falling 7-0 to Milwaukee (7-16, 3-6 HL).
Both doubles sets were incredibly hard-fought, with the Panthers being pushed to get seven points each to win the point. Sophomore
Tallie Piaskowski continued her fire in singles with a nice first set as well.
"The women played hard, with some of the best tennis I've seen all season," said head coach
Tim Dean. "It was a good, positive way to end the year despite the loss. Our seniors Maria and Samm have had a great four years here and I'm excited to send them into the world as good players, but even better people."
He added, "It was a frustrating season, but it seems fitting to end with some really close scores and sets. I'm proud of the girls for the way were willing to fight despite being short-handed all season."
