GREEN BAY, Wis. --- Student-athletes at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay combined to achieve a department-wide grade point average of 3.38 in the spring of 2018, marking the 37th-consecutive semester above a 3.0 GPA.
"It was another outstanding academic year for our student-athletes," Senior Associate Athletics Director for Compliance and Student-Athlete Welfare Kassie Batchelor said. "It is very apparent the dedication and hard work put forth by our student-athletes on the courts and fields of competition carries over into the classroom. The success comes in large part from the commitment to academic excellence from
Mike Kline,
Al Schlies and the Green Bay faculty and staff, as this accomplishment would not be possible without them."
For the spring 2018 semester, 15 of the 16 sport programs at Green Bay achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, with six of those 15 achieving a 3.50 or higher. The mark of 3.38 also extends Green Bay's streak of semesters above a 3.3 GPA to seven straight.
