GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – Green Bay women's basketball head coach Kevin Borseth announced the addition of Patricia Gallasová to the team's 2018 recruiting class Wednesday.
A native of Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, Gallasová is the first player from the country to become a member of the Phoenix program. She attended high school at Gymnasium Jiriho-Gutha Jarskovskeho, and has played domestically for Slovanka MB for the past two seasons.
"After visiting Green Bay and interacting with the team and staff, I was 100% committed to attending the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay," Gallasová said. "I am determined to become a better basketball player, and there is no doubt Green Bay offers me that opportunity. I look forward to continuing my education as a member of the Phoenix."
Gallasová boasts some impressive statistics while playing in the Euroleague. She averaged 19.4 points and 3.4 assists per game while shooting nearly 50% from the field in 2016-17. Last season, she played on one of the best teams in the Czech Republic, Nymburk, and helped the squad to a third place finish.
With her addition, Gallasová joins fellow signee and Wisconsin's Miss Basketball, Hailey Oskey (Seymour, Wis.), to round out the 2018 class for Green Bay.
