GREEN BAY, Wis. – Head Coach Kayla Karius and the Green Bay women's basketball team have announced the addition of Carley Neumann as an assistant coach. Neumann joins the Phoenix for the 2026-27 season after spending the past three years as the associate head coach at the University of Sioux Falls.

"We are thrilled to welcome Carley and her family to Green Bay," said Karius. "Carley is a passionate coach and outstanding leader who brings a great understanding of the game. She truly invests in the growth of student-athletes, building meaningful relationships while helping them develop on and off the court. We know she'll be a great fit for our program and our community."

Neumann helped guide Sioux Falls during three successful seasons, mentoring First Team All-NSIC selection Anna Vaaler and NSIC Freshman of the Year Krista Langager. Off the court, the Cougars earned nine NSIC Team of Excellence honors and four CSC Academic All-District selections. In addition to her coaching duties, Neumann also served as the department's senior woman administrator. The Cougars finished 2025-26 with a 13-16 overall record and a 10-12 record against NSIC opponents.

Before her last stint at Sioux Falls, Neumann spent three seasons at Presentation College, serving one year as an assistant coach before leading the program as head coach for its final two seasons. She improved the Saints from one win to seven in her first year as head coach while emphasizing academics, helping the team raise its cumulative GPA above 3.4.

Neumann also served as an assistant coach at Sioux Falls during the 2019-20 season, helping the Cougars finish 26-6, capture the NSIC South Division title, and earn the No. 3 seed in the NCAA Division II Central Regional before the postseason was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

From 2015-19, Neumann was an assistant coach at St. Cloud State, where she helped the Huskies compile a 60-50 record while overseeing recruiting, scouting, player development, and academic support.

A former standout student-athlete at St. Cloud State, Neumann helped lead the Huskies to the 2013 NSIC North Division Championship. She finished her career with 447 points and 106 assists in 97 games while earning three NSIC All-Academic Team selections and the NSIC Myles Brand All-Academic with Distinction Award.
