GREEN BAY, WIS. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- Hailey Oskey has been named the Horizon League Freshman of the Week after an outstanding road trip to Michigan this past weekend.
Oskey played a pivotal role in Green Bay's 2-0 record during Green Bay's road trip, as the freshman guard averaged 14.0 PPG and shot 53% from the field including an 8-of-14 clip (57%) from long range. Oskey shined with a career performance on Thursday night at Detroit Mercy, turning in a career-high 20 points and burying six triples in nine attempts. She also finished perfect from the line this past weekend, swiped four steals and corralled four rebounds while averaging 25.0 MPG.
This is the first freshman of the week accolade for Oskey and the Green Bay women's basketball team this season. The Phoenix returns home on Thursday against UIC at 7 p.m. for the first of a five-game home stand.
