SECURING 700
Thursday night is the first time returning home for Head coach Kevin Borseth since sealing his 700th career head coaching victory against Youngstown State on Jan. 12. Borseth currently ranks 16th among active coaches in wins throughout all divisions of the NCAA, and he is the 29th coach in history to reach the 700-win milestone. Among active division I coaches with at least five years of division I coaching experience, Borseth's 700 wins ranks 10th in the nation.

HOME SWEET HOME
Green Bay will enjoy five-consecutive games within the welcoming walls of the Kress Center over the next three weeks, starting with UIC on Thursday night and IUPUI on Saturday. Currently in a tie for first with Wright State at 6-1, a five-game home stand could prove to be the separation needed for the Phoenix, especially considering GB owns a 36-2 record in Horizon League play when taking the court at home since the 2014-15 season.

DOUBLE-DIGIT PRODUCTION
Green Bay has received double-digit scoring numbers from at least three players in every Horizon League game this season, including one contest where four members of the squad reached the mark. Eight different members of the team have reached double digits in scoring through the seven league contests, leading the Phoenix to a 7-1 record.

SUPER SENIORS
Green Bay's trio of seniors stepped up in a big way at Northern Kentucky, as all three turned in career-high marks in points scored. Jen Wellnitz led all scorers with 21 points and was followed closely by Laken James, who surpassed her career high for the second-consecutive game with 18 points. Carly Mohns joined in with her first double digit performance with Green Bay, scoring 13 points on a 6-of-7 effort.

PROTECT THIS HOUSE
Green Bay emerged victorious in both contests at the Kress Center last week, as the Phoenix defeated Cleveland State (W, 62-53) and Youngstown State (W, 60-42) to secure its 25th and 26th consecutive victories at home in Horizon League play, with its last conference loss on the Kress Center floor coming in the 2015-16 season against Oakland. The Phoenix dropped a nail-biter, 58-56, before rattling off the 26-straight wins. Since the 2014-15 campaign, GB has compiled a record of 36-2 in HL action while playing within the friendly confines of the Kress Center.

LOVING LEAGUE OPENERS
Dating back to 1988-89, years before the oldest member of the current Phoenix roster was born, Green Bay has not lost a conference-opening matchup. The Phoenix has since notched a total of 31-consecutive conference opening victories, including its most recent win at Milwaukee. The last time Green Bay lost its first conference pairing of the season was in 1983-84 when GB fell to UW-La Crosse in WIAC play, 67-64.

STRING OF IN-STATE
Green Bay wrapped up its stretch of four games against fellow in-state opponents two weeks ago, as the Phoenix traveled south to Milwaukee for a matchup with the Panthers. Green Bay claimed victory and now owns an all-time record of 119-48 against the three division I teams hailing from Wisconsin.

NONCONFERENCE NOTABLES
The Phoenix faced two Big Ten teams, three ranked opponents and six NCAA Tournament Qualifiers in its 10-game nonconference season, compiling a 5-5 record in the process. Green Bay earned national attention by taking No. 15 DePaul to the wire and defeating No. 16 Missouri. Missouri is the highest ranked road opponent ever defeated by Green Bay and the highest ranked team to fall at the hands of the Phoenix since No. 12 Michigan State in the 2011 NCAA Tournament, a win which propelled GB into the Sweet Sixteen. The Phoenix is 3-3 against teams that advanced to last year's NCAA Tournament.

BATTLE ON THE BOARDS
The Phoenix has outrebounded its opponents 465-440 over the course of 13 games this season. Redshirt Junior Madison Wolf leads Green Bay in rebounding and averages 6.9 rebounds per game, which ranks her just outside the top 10 in the Horizon League. Wolf has reached double digits in rebounds three times this season, including a career-high performance against Wisconsin with 12.

TERRIFIC TUESDAY OVER MAINE
Green Bay's matchup Tuesday night turned out to be a favorable one for the Phoenix, who claimed a 70-39 victory over Maine at the Kress Center. GB tallied season highs in field-goal percentage, points scored and held Maine to season low in points allowed. Maine's previous low was 63 points versus No. 20 Duke.

FAVORED TO WIN NUMBER 21
For the 11th-consecutive year, the Green Bay women's basketball team will enter the season as the Horizon League preseason favorite, as announced by the league office during its media day event in early October. Green Bay is fresh off its 20th-straight Horizon League Regular-Season Championship and is no stranger to high expectations, with Head coach Kevin Borseth's Phoenix squad receiving 28 of the 29 first-place votes in the poll and accumulating 286 points to lead the nearest school by 41 (IUPUI).

DEFENSIVE MINDSET
Green Bay owned the nation's best statistical defense in the country a season ago, allowing a lowly 47.4 PPG. The Phoenix was the only program in the nation to hold opposing teams to lower than 50 points per game. With the reigning Horizon League Defensive Player of the Year returning to this year's roster, Green Bay will look for more of the same from its nationally recognized defense.

WHAT'S IN STORE FOR 2018-19
Borseth returns to the helm of the Green Bay women's basketball program for the 16th season in 2018-19, a year removed from leading the Phoenix to its 20th-consecutive regular season title and 18th NCAA Tournament appearance. The regular-season schedule features 14 home games, five nonconference matchups in addition to the nine league games. WINNING TRADITION Green Bay secured its 41st-consecutive winning season last year and trails only Tennessee (44) for the longest active streak in the nation. Green Bay's streak includes 20-straight conference titles and 18 NCAA Tournament appearances. The Phoenix also secured its 19th-consecutive 20-plus win season dating back to 1999-00.

WINNING....SINCE THE BEGINNING
The Green Bay women's basketball team is one of three Division I women's basketball programs that has had a winning record every year since the NCAA took over administration of women's college athletics in the fall of 1981. Essentially, the Phoenix has never had a losing record in the NCAA era. There only two other programs to accomplish the same feat, Tennessee and Georgia.

HORIZON LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP SUCCESS
Last season Green Bay made its ninth-consecutive Horizon League Tournament Championship game and 20th overall. The Phoenix owns a 16-4 all-time record in the tournament's biggest game and has won 16 of the last 21 titles.

20 STRAIGHT
The Phoenix clinched its 20th-consecutive regular season conference championship last season, a streak that dates back to the 1998-99 season. Green Bay's current consecutive title run is the longest active conference championship streak in the nation. To really put things in perspective, the last time that Green Bay lost a regular-season conference championship, five members of the team hadn't been born (Karly MurphyLyndsey RobsonAnna Brecht, Patricia Gallasova and Hailey Oskey).
