Box Score DAYTON, Ohio (GreenBayPhoenix.com) ---  The Green Bay volleyball team were defeated this evening by Wright State this evening (26-24, 20-25, 16-25, 17-25).

Green Bay opened up the match by taking the first set (26-24).  At the midway point, both sides were knotted up at 13-13.  However, the Phoenix trailed late 16-20, before claiming 5 of the next 6 points to tie things up at 21-21.  The teams traded off points, but with the score at 24-24, a kill from Taylor Wolf and a Wright State attack-error gave Green Bay the set.  Taylor Wolf and Ashley Sledge each had 4 kills, while Anna Eaton had 3 of her own off 3 attacks.

Unfortunately, the Phoenix dropped the final three sets of the match.  Green Bay stifled their chances to win by committing too many errors on the evening.  As a team, the squad totaled 28 attack-errors and 9 service-errors.  Additionally on the defensive side of the net, the Phoenix committed 4 receiving-errors and a block-error.

Junior Taylor Wolf and senior Maddie Yoss recorded double-doubles tonight for the match.  Wolf tallied 13 kills and 11 digs, while Yoss contributed 46 assist and 14 digs on the evening.  Juniors Anna Eaton and Ashley Sledge each logged 13 kills for Green Bay as well for the match.  Eaton hit a team high .500 percentage.

Once again, all three defensive specialist added double-digit digs.  Freshman libero Brenna Hesse led the way with 20, followed by senior Emily Lautenschlager with 11.  Freshman Annalise Sparks rounded out the trio with 10.

Next Game
The Phoenix is back at the Kress Center on Friday (November 8^th) for a matchup against the Penguins of Youngstown State.  The game will feature a Parent Night / Youth Team Night, with post-match autographs from the team.
