QUICK HITS

DEFENSIVE MINDSET
After earning wins for its dominance on the offensive end for the majority of the season, Green Bay has won four out of its last five games primarily for its efforts on the defensive side. GB is allowing just 72.4 PPG over its last 5 games, down almost 9 points from its season scoring defensive average of 81.3 PPG, while holding teams to 41.9 percent shooting (4.3 points better than its scoring defense average in HL play total). That number would rank second in the HL this season, behind GB's first weekend opponent in UIC. GB held Oakland to a season-low 54 points in a win last Thursday, and held the HL's leading scorer in Antoine Davis to just 7-for-25 from the field on Saturday.

HIGH FIVE FOUR OUT OF FIVE
After winning both games at home last week over Oakland and Detroit Mercy, Green Bay has now won four out of its last five games overall, vaulting into a tie with UIC for third place in the current Horizon League standings. GB has a +7.0 scoring margin during that stretch, is shooting 47.5 percent and is averaging 16.4 APG as a team. Sandy Cohen is averaging 16.0 PPG during that stretch, while ShanQuan Hemphill (12.6 PPG) and JayQuan McCloud (10.4 PPG) are also averaging in double-figures. Green Bay, UIC and Wright State have all won four out of their last five games.

TANK TO THE BANK
Junior ShanQuan "Tank" Hemphill had one of his most productive weeks of his Green Bay career last weekend, registering back-to-back double-doubles against Oakland and Detroit Mercy. Hemphill had 13 points and 10 rebounds against the Golden Grizzlies, before scoring 10 points with 11 rebounds against the Titans. It was the first double-double for Tank since he had a career-high 25 points and 10 rebounds against Northern Illinois on Nov. 28. Hemphill has now scored in double-figures in five-straight games and 11 of 14 games during conference play. He has landed on the #SCTo10 list twice this season for his highlight reel type dunks.

SUPER SANDY
Senior Sandy Cohen III continues to be the only player in Division I to lead his team in every major statistical category, including scoring (16.6 PPG), rebounding (6.4 RPG), assists (4.7 APG), steals (1.9 SPG), blocks (1.0 BPG) and minutes (32.7 MPG). Cohen serves as the team's lone senior on the roster, and is coming off a 23-point effort against Detroit, where he grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds and almost notched a triple-double with 8 assists. He has five 20-plus point scoring outings this season and has scored in double-figures in 11 of 14 HL games as well.

McCLOUD NINE
After averaging just 6.5 PPG over his previous four games, JayQuan McCloud exploded for a career-high 26 points against Detroit Mercy. McCloud made a career-high six 3-pointers and finished 9-for-14 from the field in the victory. GB is now 7-0 when McCloud scores 20 or more points this season, as the junior is second on the team in scoring with 14.7 PPG in HL play. He's also third in the HL in free throw percentage at 86.3 percent.
