LAST TIME OUT
The Green Bay women's basketball team returned to its winning ways in its most recent outing with Milwaukee, defeating the Panthers in convincing fashion, 59-45, to move to 8-2 in Horizon League play. Laken James continued her stretch of stellar games with an 18-point outing, just one shy of her career high set in the previous matchup with IUPUI.
APPROACHING 1,000 PROGRAM WINS
During its 46 years as a program, the Green Bay women's basketball team has accumulated a total of 996 victories. During those 46 seasons, three head coaches have graced the sidelines for the Phoenix, starting with Carol Hammerle in the 1973-74 campaign. Hammerle led the program for 25 seasons and accumulated 456 wins before passing the torch to Kevin Borseth in 1998-99, who would go on to lead the Phoenix for 16 total seasons in two separate stints leading up to our present campaign. Borseth has racked up 392 wins with the Phoenix and continues to add to that number with each passing game. Matt Bollant took the reins from 2007-12, amassing 148 victories in five seasons and leading the program to an appearance in the Sweet Sixteen.
NOTEWORTHY NORSE
Although Northern Kentucky only sits at 6-5 in Horizon League play, the Norse have rattled off four-consecutive wins. Three of NKU's recent victories have come by double-digits, and its single-digit win was over IUPUI.
RIVALRY ROUNDUP
Green Bay welcomed Milwaukee last weekend for the final in-state rivalry pairing of the regular season, sweeping the Panthers in the process. The Phoenix owns an all-time record of 70-19 against the team down south, and currently boasts a five-game winning streak in the series. GB has claimed victories in 13 of the past 14 meetings. The Phoenix has enjoyed success against the three division I teams hailing from Wisconsin, currently owning an all-time record of 120-48 following last Saturday's matchup.
STARTING A NEW STREAK
A loss to IUPUI two weeks ago snapped a 27-game winning streak at home in conference play, but the Phoenix bounced back with a win over Milwaukee this past weekend. GB owns a record of 38-3 at home during league play over the past five seasons and has not lost back-to-back league games at the Kress Center during that stretch.

BOUNCING BACK
Over the past five seasons, Green Bay has lost a total of only 10 league games. As predicted, the Phoenix bounced back with a victory against Milwaukee last weekend, having only lost back-to-back games on a single occasion in the past five seasons, both of which contests were on the road.
SECURING 700
Kevin Borseth sealed his 700th career head coaching victory against Youngstown State on Jan. 12. Borseth currently ranks 16th among active coaches in wins throughout all divisions of the NCAA, and he is the 29th coach in history to reach the 700-win milestone. Among active division I coaches with at least five years of division I coaching experience, Borseth's 700 wins ranks 10th in the nation.
NONCONFERENCE NOTABLES
The Phoenix faced two Big Ten teams, three ranked opponents and six NCAA Tournament Qualifiers in its 10-game nonconference season, compiling a 5-5 record in the process. Green Bay earned national attention by taking No. 15 DePaul to the wire and defeating No. 16 Missouri. Missouri is the highest ranked road opponent ever defeated by Green Bay and the highest ranked team to fall at the hands of the Phoenix since No. 12 Michigan State in the 2011 NCAA Tournament, a win which propelled GB into the Sweet Sixteen. The Phoenix is 3-3 against teams that advanced to last year's NCAA Tournament.
