GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- The Green Bay men's soccer team fell to Oakland on Saturday night at Aldo Santaga Stadium, as the Golden Grizzlies found the back of the net three times. The Phoenix fell to 0-2 in league play with the loss, while Oakland improved to 2-0.

The two squads were deadlocked for the first 29 minutes of play, but Oakland's Charlie Braithwaite broke the tie with his second goal of the season.

The Golden Grizzlies added two more goals in the first half, the first in the 34
th minute and the second in the 37
th minute to lead things 3-0 at the break.

Green Bay had a near miss in the 58
th minute, as
Clay Brown found an attacking
Karim Lauba on the right side of the net and was able to sneak a pass through the Golden Grizzlies backline but the shot missed just wide.

After the second weekend of league play, the Phoenix has faced some of the conference's toughest competition in UIC and Oakland, with the two programs sitting atop the standings at 2-0.

Green Bay will travel to Indianapolis, Ind., next weekend to continue Horizon League play with IUPUI.
