GREEN BAY, Wis. -The Green Bay volleyball team lost Friday as the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons posted a 3-1 (18-25, 20-25, 28-26, 15-25)Â at the Kress Events Center.
The loss dropped Green Bay's record to 10-12 overall and 5-5 in Horizon League play.
The Phoenix were led by a double-double from Iro Chounta, who registered 10 kills and 12 digs in the contest. Shannon Coughlin also added 13 kills to help the attack. On the defensive end, Calli Gentry chipped in for GB with 18 digs to go with one block from Cora Behnke.

» Green Bay had three players in double figures in kills.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Phoenix dropped the first set 25-18 despite a solid performance on the attacking side. Green Bay registered a .343 attack percentage with 15 kills in the set loss.
SET 2 | A 25-20 set-two loss put Green Bay behind 2-0 in the match. The Phoenix trailed by as many as nine points as Purdue Fort Wayne grabbed the advantage for good at 4-3 in a set that was knotted up three times before the Mastodons took over the lead.
SET 3 | Green Bay fought back to pull within two sets to one, winning their first set of the match in the third stanza. The Phoenix won the set 28-26 propelled by a strong showing on the attacking end. Green Bay registered a .317 attack percentage with 16 kills in the set win. After the lead changed hands four times, the Phoenix took control for good at 27-26 and rode that advantage to victory.
SET 4 | Green Bay couldn't keep the rally going and fell in the fourth set 25-15 to drop the match. The Phoenix fell behind on the first point and never took the lead before falling in the set.
