FAIRBORN, Ohio -Iro Chounta and Alexandra Zakutney both secured double-doubles, but the Green Bay volleyball team fell to the Wright State Raiders 3-1 (25-17, 22-25, 18-25, 15-25) Sunday on the road at CJ McLin Gymnasium.
The loss dropped Green Bay's record to 11-15 overall and 6-8 in Horizon action.
Chounta finished with 13 kills and 15 digs and Zakutney had 14 kills and 13 digs. Shannon Coughlin also added five kills to help the attack. On the defensive end, Calli Gentry chipped in for GB with 23 digs to go with seven blocks from Tiffany Paalman.
GAME NOTES
» Green Bay had four players in double figures in digs.
» Alexandra Zakutney had a match-high two aces in the loss.
» Alexandra Zakutney had a team-high 14 kills for Green Bay.

HOW IT HAPPENED
SET 1 | The Phoenix won the first point and never trailed, securing the first set 25-17. Green Bay led by 10 points at 13-3 before closing out the set. GB got a solid defensive performance from a front row that blocked seven Wright State attacks in the stanza.
SET 2 | Green Bay lost the second set 25-22 to even the match 1-1. The Phoenix battled back from a nine-point 21-12 hole, but Wright State hung on to take the frame.
SET 3 | Green Bay fell again in set three to make it a 2-1 deficit, finishing 25-18. Green Bay trailed by as many as seven points as Wright State grabbed the advantage for good at 16-15 in a set that was knotted up four times before the Raiders took over in the second half of the stanza.
SET 4 | Green Bay lost the fourth set and the match, falling 25-15. The Phoenix trailed by as many as 10 points as Wright State grabbed the advantage for good at 2-1 and Green Bay wasn't able to recover in a set that was tied up just once before the Raiders closed out the match.
UP NEXT
The Phoenix will welcome Oakland to the Kress Center Thursday at 6 p.m. The following day they host Cleveland State at 6 p.m.
