GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- The Green Bay men's soccer team concluded its '2020' campaign on Monday afternoon at Aldo Santaga Stadium, falling to the visiting Oakland Golden Grizzlies 4-0.
Green Bay honored a trio of seniors prior to kickoff, as
Fredi Ortega and
Kevin Cela took the pitch for the final time in their careers donning the Green and White, while student assistant Spencer Juchiniewich was also recognized for his commitment to the program over the past four seasons.
Oakland managed to construct a 3-0 lead by the time halftime arrived, with its first strike coming only 25 seconds into the match.
Green Bay was outshot by a tight margin of 13-10 in the pairing, but was never able to find mesh in its four on-goal attempts.
The Phoenix returns a strong roster as the fall campaign rapidly approaches, with a plethora of talent and experience set to grace the sidelines next years.
