GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- The Green Bay women's soccer team earned a hard-fought draw, 1-1, in its season finale at UIC on Monday afternoon.
UIC was on the board first after a goal from Loise Trapp snuck its way into the GB net in the 21st minute.
It didn't take long for the Phoenix offense to respond, with
Emily Murphy finding mesh in the 24th minute after
Cam Castelan set her up for the score.
Both teams searched for the game-winning strike but came up empty through regulation and the following overtime periods.
UIC owned a 19-14 advantage in shots and a 12-4 edge in shots on goal.
The Phoenix now readies itself for the rapidly approaching fall 2021 campaign, with an experienced and talented roster set to return.
