GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – Moving forward with its normal look of a competitive list of opponents, the Green Bay women's basketball team unveiled its non-conference schedule ahead of the 2021-22 season on Monday. The seven-game nonconference slate includes three games (plus two exhibition contests) to be played at home at the Kress Center, two games as part of the South Point Shootout in Las Vegas and a pair of road games against familiar foes. 

The final regular season schedule will hold 29 games, including 22 in Horizon League play alone, the first-ever season with 22 league games. The HL schedule will be released at a later date. 

Following a pair of home exhibition games (October 27 vs. UW-Whitewater and November 3 vs. UW-Platteville) to get prepped, GB wll open the regular season at South Dakota State on Tuesday, Nov. 9. The Phoenix and Jackrabbits had faced off in every season since 2013-14 before last year, and will renew the rivalry again this year after the two teams couldn't find a date amid the COVID-19 pandemic a season ago. 

The home-opener for the regular season will take place on Saturday, November 13 against North Dakota State. The two teams played twice in Fargo last year with the Bison taking both games at home, but GB still leads all time 5-2. 

The Phoenix will also be taking the court in the South Point Shootout in Las Vegas, competing in a pair of games in Sin City over Thanksgiving weekend. GB will play a pair of Horizon League games on Nov. 18 and Nov. 20 leading up to that trip.

GB will also travel to Madison to take on the Badgers on December 12, before hosting both Chicago State (Dec. 16) and Central Michigan (Dec. 20) at the Kress Center.

Season ticket information will be announced in the coming weeks, with this update being released recently.
