GREEN BAY --- Playing its final nonconference matches of the 2021 season, Green Bay will travel across the Illinois border to face Northern Illinois and No. 2-ranked Wisconsin at NIU on Thursday and Friday.

UND CLASSIC RECAP
Green Bay finished the UND Classic in Grand Forks, North Dakota, with a tight 3-2 win over North Dakota. GB dropped a pair of matches to Drake and Montana to open the tournament, and after getting up 2-0 on UND, was able to hold off the tournament hosts. Abby Gardner was named to the UND All-Tournament Team for Green Bay, after the freshman notched 20 digs or more in all three matches. 

DIGGING IT OUT
Green Bay freshman Abby Gardner continued her strong freshman season by being named to the All-Tournament Team at North Dakota, recording 64 total digs over the three matches and 13 assists. Gardner also added seven aces for the Phoenix, and has now recorded double-digit digs in all 10 matches this season.

RIGHT AT THE TOP
Green Bay ranks second in the Horizon League in two key offensive categories, assists and kills. The Phoenix trails Milwaukee in both stats, averaging 13.42 kills per set and 12.66 assists per set. GB is also best in the HL defensively in terms of kills allowed per set, with a league-leading 11.71 allowed.
