GREEN BAY -- Green Bay trailed Robert Morris 1-0 at the half in the Horizon League-opener for both teams, but fought back to tie the game at 1-1 before holding on to that final scoreline on Thursday (Sept. 16) at Aldo Santaga Stadium. GB was handed a red card in the 89th minute and hte defense held on for the final 20-plus minutes to secure the draw.
The tie moved Green Bay's record to 3-0-2 overall and 0-0-1 in Horizon action, remaining undefeated on the season.
How it Happened
Robert Morris broke the 0-0 tie when Haleigh Finale scored in the fifth minute on a penalty kick.
The Phoenix evened the game on a goal from Savanna Hayes -- her second goal of the season -- in the 60th minute, assisted by Madeline Cruz. Cruz played a nice ball into the box on the corner kick that found the head of Hayes. Neither team added another goal in the game.
