CHICAGO, IL --The Green Bay volleyball team could not beat an opposing Flames offense Tuesday on the road losing to UIC in straight sets (22-25, 20-25, 22-25), losing its first Horizon League match of the season after starting 2-0.
Anna Eaton finished with seven kills on the day to lead the Phoenix offense while finishing with a hitting percentage of .455. GB got seven digs from Iro Chounta along with six blocks from Tiffany Paalman to lead them defensively.

» Calli Gentry had a team-high three aces in the loss.
» Tiffany Paalman had a match-high six blocks.
» Anna Eaton had a team-high seven kills for Green Bay.
» Green Bay got a team-high seven digs from Iro Chounta.
» Green Bay attackers were helped by a team-high 18 assists from Calli Gentry.
How It Happened
SET 1 | The Phoenix dropped the first set 25-22 in spite of a solid performance on the attacking side. Green Bay registered a .318 attack percentage with 10 kills in the set loss.
SET 2 | Green Bay dropped set two 25-20, digging a 2-0 hole in the match. The Phoenix dropped the first point and never clawed back into the lead before dropping the set.
SET 3 | UIC finished the sweep with a set-three win. The Phoenix fought back from a 10-point deficit at 12-2, but UIC held on to win the set 25-22.
Up Next:Â Green Bay will play its first home Horizon League match of the season on Friday night against Northern Kentucky at 6 p.m.
