GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Green Bay men's basketball team returns home tomorrow for the first time in 32 days, renewing the I-43 rivalry as the Milwaukee Panthers pay a visit to the Resch Center.

ABOUT THE PANTHERS
Milwaukee comes to Green Bay with a 4-9 record, including a 2-2 Horizon League tally. The Panthers HL wins came over Robert Morris (77-69) on Dec. 4, and Northern Kentucky (61-55) on Jan. 1. The Panthers are led by the duo of DeAndre Gholston and Patrick Baldwin Jr. Gholston leads the team averaging 15.8 points to go along with 5.3 rebounds per contest. Baldwin isn't far behind, averaging 15.0 points and 7.1 rebounds in seven starts. The duo has taken it to another level in league play, with Baldwin averaging 26.0 points and Gholston pouring in 21.3. Green Bay will have its work cut out for them in the paint, as Milwaukee leads the HL in rebounding (37.5 per game) and blocked shots (4.15 per game).
SERIES HISTORY
The I-43 Rivalry goes all the way back to January of 1971, with the Phoenix owning a 40-28 record against the Panthers. Due to a COVID season in 2020-21, Green Bay hosted both games against Milwaukee. Despite dropping both last year, the Phoenix still hold a 23-12 record at home all-time against Milwaukee. The last time the Phoenix won a home game against the Panthers was February 9, 2019 in a 90-74 victory.
LAST TIME OUT
Green Bay came up just short against Wright State on Saturday, losing 72-69. The Phoenix went up 68-62 with 2:40 left. However, WSU ended the game with a 10-1 run, including Trey Calvin's go-ahead three with 20 seconds left. Of Green Bay's 11 losses, it's the fifth time the Phoenix has lost by five or less points.
KAMARI CRUSHING IT
True freshman
Kamari McGee has stepped up since entering the starting lineup on December 12. He has totaled 31 or more minutes in each start, including a season-high 37 minutes at Northern Kentucky. Shooting 45-percent on 22-of-49 from the field, McGee has been a steady hand for Green Bay. McGee is averaging 13.0 points in the four starts, helping him rise to third in points per game on the team this season (9.2 PPG). McGee is also second on the team in assists, racking up 19 (1.4 APG).
KELLOGG ON A ROLL
Japannah Kellogg III has been on a roll in the last five games. In that stretch, he has:
- Scored in double figures in three of the five games
- Averaged 11.0 points per game
- Averaged 5.2 rebounds per game
- Shot 17-of-35 (49.0-percent)
LUCAS LIGHTING IT UP
Since returning after missing two games due to health and safety protocols,
Lucas Stieber has been the hot hand for Green Bay. In the last two games, Stieber has:
- Shot 11-of-13 from the field (84.6-percent)
- Shot 6-of-8 (75.0-percent) from beyond the arc
- On Sunday against Wright State, Stieber posted a career-high 22 points.

Manny Ansong has been GB's anchor this season. He ranks on the team:

Manny Ansong also leads the Horizon League in field goal percentage. He's shooting 56.8-percent from the floor while the second-highest mark is at 52.2-percent.
CHARITY STRIPE CHANCES
Out of 350 Division One teams, Green Bay ranks 54
th nationally in free throw percentage, tied with the East Tennessee State Buccaneers at 75.1-percent. The Phoenix is within one-percent of climbing into the top 40.
