ROCHESTER, Mich. -- Fueled by 18 points from Hailey Oskey, the Green Bay women's basketball team got their seventh straight win on Thursday night, taking down Oakland 61-57. Green Bay is now 11-0 when scoring 60+ points.

Aside from Oskey, the Phoenix (14-5, 10-3) was led by reigning #HLWBB Freshman of the Week Bailey Butler, who tacked on eight points, four assists and three steals off the bench. Cassie Schiltz helped out with five points, seven rebounds and two steals. Jasmine Kondrakiewicz also had a solid day off the bench, scoring eight and pulling down four rebounds in just 17 minutes.

Green Bay pulled down 42 rebounds in Thursday's game compared to Oakland's 41, led by 10 boards from Sydney Levy.

The Green Bay defense held Oakland shooters to just 28.2 percent from the field, including 23.5 percent from three-point range. The Phoenix also kept Kahlaijah Dean, the Golden Grizzlies leading scorer, to 5-of-18 shooting in the game.

HOW IT HAPPENED

After playing to a 4-4 tie early in the game, Green Bay went on a 5-0 run with 4:01 left in the first quarter, culminating in a three from Butler, to take a 9-4 lead. The Phoenix then lost some of that lead, but still entered the quarter break with an 11-9 advantage. Green Bay did most of its first quarter damage in the paint, scoring six of its 11 points close to the basket.

Oakland rallied to take a 19-15 lead before Green Bay went on another 5-0 run starting at the 6:07 mark in the second period, highlighted by a three from Schiltz, to take a 20-19 lead. The Golden Grizzlies then battled back to even it up at 27-27 heading into halftime. Green Bay dominated in the paint, scoring eight of its 16 points close to the basket.

Green Bay started the third quarter on a high note, going on an 11-0 run, punctuated by a three from Butler, to grab a 38-27 lead with 6:46 to go in the third. Before the conclusion of the third period, the Golden Grizzlies had cut into that lead somewhat, but the Phoenix still entered the fourth quarter with a 49-41 edge. Green Bay knocked down three three-pointers in the quarter to score nine of its 22 total points.

Green Bay kept its lead intact before going on a 6-0 run, finished off by Kondrakiewicz's layup, to grow the lead to 55-45 with 5:27 to go in the contest. However, the hosts wouldn't go away, ripping off an 8-0 run in two minutes to bring the deficit to 55-53. The Phoenix responded with big buckets from Oskey and Maddy Schreiber to put the game away.
