Hailey Oskey started the scoring in the second frame, draining a short jumper in the paint. The Penguins would pace the scoring the rest of the quarter, never surrendering a lead, going into the half up 27-25.

Schiltz was dominant in the period for Green Bay, scoring seven points while snatching two rebounds and dishing out an assist. In a hard-fought fourth quarter, GB was able to tie the game at 52 thanks to another Schiltz jumper with 4:39 to go. Levy knotted the game up once again at 58 after knocking down a pair of free throws to send the game to overtime.

The Phoenix began the extra period strong, scoring quickly with a pair of Bailey Butler free throws. YSU would answer, taking a 64-62 lead with 1:43 left. Down 64-62, the Phoenix forced two Penguin turnovers and tied the game thanks to a pair of clutch free throws from Oskey. Youngstown State had one final possession to take the game, but the Green Bay defense once again turned them over to send the game to a second overtime. YSU stormed out of the gates in the second OT, taking a 69-64 lead in the first two minutes of the frame. Oskey put life back into the Phoenix with a jumper from the charity stripe that sparked a 6-0 run to end the game, punctuated by another pair of Levy free throws with 9.5 seconds to go.
