Green Bay and Marquette will face off for the 41st time, with the Golden Eagles owning a 31-9 record against GB. The Phoenix is 3-16 on the road against Marquette, with the last road defeat of the Golden Eagles, a five-set victory, coming on September 17, 1996. Marquette has won 16 consecutive on the Phoenix.

ABOUT THE GOLDEN EAGLES
Ryan Theis enters his ninth season at the helm of the Golden Eagles program, boasting a stellar record of 186-64. His team enters Tuesday's action hot, winning four straight contests, including a 3-1 victory over LSU and a 3-0 sweep of cross-town rival UW-Milwaukee. Marquette's only loss is to the defending National Champion Wisconsin Badgers. The Golden Eagles are 6-1 overall heading into the match against Green Bay.

Aubrey Hamilton is a player to watch, with the junior outside hitter pacing the Golden Eagles in kills (83, 3.07/set) and points (95, 3.52/set). As a team, Marquette leads all Big East teams with a hitting percentage of .262 and kills with an average of 13.89 kills per set.

ALEXANDRA THE GREAT
Redshirt junior Alexandra Zakutney continues to be a dominant force for the Phoenix. This past weekend, she made the All-Tournament Team after the conclusion of the Ball State tournament. Zakutney scored 36.5 points in a doubleheader on Sept. 9, becoming 10th all-time in GB volleyball history with 1,138.5 points. She'll look to crack 1,000 career kills against Marquette on Tuesday.

STARTING OFF STRONG
Angie Gromos, a grad transfer from Northern Illinois, was named Horizon League Player of the Week on September 7. Gromos has been a revelation in the middle for the Phoenix early on in the 2022 season. In a 2-1 weekend at the Redbird Classic, Gromos averaged 9.6 kills on a scorching .547 hitting percentage to go along with 5.0 blocks. Gromos leads all Phoenix with 45.0 blocks on the year.

WINNING WAYS
Since hiring Abbey Sutherland as the program's sixth head coach in 2018, the Phoenix has finished in the top half of the Horizon League in all but one season. GB also made the NCAA Tournament during Sutherland's first year in 2018, when the Phoenix finished 20-11 in the regular season. Sutherland is 65-52 as the head coach at Green Bay.

FAMILIAR FACES
The Phoenix attack will be led by multiple returners, including the 2021 First-Team All-Horizon League selection in Zakutney. Last season, she led the team with 400 kills, the eighth-most in the HL. Zakutney also recorded a team-leading 51 service aces and 479.5 points. Shannon Coughlin, Tiffany Paalman, and Cora Behnke rounded out the top four in kills last season for the Phoenix. All four returned for the 2022 season.
