Green Bay is 12-5 against IUPUI all-time. The Phoenix and Jaguars last met on October 24, 2021, when GB swept IUPUI 3-0. Green Bay has won the last three against Robert Morris, owning a 3-1 record on the Colonials. GB has had the upper hand on Youngstown State historically, displaying a record of 36-9.

ABOUT IUPUI

Lindsey Froehlich is in her fourth season at the helm of the Jaguar program. IUPUI is 6-6 entering the match against Green Bay on Tuesday.

Briana Brown and Sydney Veatch lead the Jaguar attack on offense. Brown paces the team in kills (124, 3.35 per set) while Veatch leads all Jaguar players in assists with 171, an average of 4.89 per set. Morgan Ostrowski is a name to watch on defense, registering 40 blocks on the season.

ABOUT ROBERT MORRIS

Danny Doherty has begun his second season as head coach of the RMU program. The Colonials are 7-5 through their first dozen games in 2022 and are looking to have a rebound season after winning nine matches in 2021.

Ashleigh Wallin has notched an impressive 252 assists, a whopping 5.36 per set. Abby Ryan, an Orchard Park, N.Y., native, had tallied 113 kills, just under 4.5 per set.

ABOUT YOUNGSTOWN STATE

Aline Scott is the head coach at Youngstown State and is in her fifth season with the Penguins.

Paula Gursching will be a tough task for any opponent, with the sophomore outside hitter from Germany racking up 177 kills through the first 11 contests. Josi Borum is part of the reason for Gursching's success, notching 197 assists.

WELCOME TO MY HOUSE

Last weekend, the Phoenix opened their 2022 home schedule by hosting the Green Bay invite. GB swept North Dakota 3-0 Friday morning before taking care of Drake 3-1 in the evening. On Saturday, the Phoenix posted a hard-fought 3-1 defeat over SIU-Edwardsville and finished the tournament with a 3-0 sweep over Western Illinois. Cora Behnke was named Tournament MVP, while Kayla Lass and Calli Gentry were tabbed to the All-Tournament Team.

OH MY GROMOS

Angie Gromos, a grad transfer from Northern Illinois, leads all GB players with 64.0 blocks. She registered 19 this past weekend during the Green Bay invite. Gromos and Tiffany Paalman (55.0) spear the defensive front for the Phoenix, being the only two GB players to have over 50 blocks. Gromos was named Horizon League Player of the Week on Sept. 7.

TAKING AIM AT ALZHEIMER'S

Friday night's match at the Kress Center versus Robert Morris is the annual Attacking Alzheimer's game. Alzheimer's is the sixth leading cause of death in Wisconsin. Green Bay volleyball will be raising funds to fight the deadly disease, with funds supporting the Alzheimer's Association, a non-profit organization.
