Green Bay is 33-36 all-time against the Raiders and 5-10 against Northern Kentucky. At home, GB is 22-8 versus Wright State and 3-5 against NKU. The Phoenix dropped their last home contest to WSU 79-62 on February 9, 2022, and their last home game against Northern Kentucky, 71-62 on February 11, 2022.

ABOUT THE RAIDERS
Scott Nagy is in his 7th season at the helm of Wright State's program. Nagy has had a majorly successful tenure with the Raiders, posting a 140-70 record going into Friday's matchup against the Phoenix.

Trey Calvin, one of the Horizon League's top three scorers and top overall offensive players, paces WSU with 18.3 points per game. Brandon Noel is another name to watch, he cleans the glass with 7.8 rebounds per game.

ABOUT THE NORSE
Darrin Horn is in his 4th season with the Norse, owning a 67-39 record as NKU visits Milwaukee Thursday night. Horn, a 1995 graduate of Western Kentucky, was an Assistant Coach and eventually Head Coach for his alma mater. Horn also spent time as the Head Coach at South Carolina, and Associate Head Coach at Texas under Shaka Smart.

Marques Warrick, a veteran on Northern Kentucky's squad, averages 19.2 points per contest, which is good for second-best in the league. Chris Brandon crashes the glass well, pulling down 9.1 rebounds per game.

LAST MATCHUP
All five starters reached double figures in GB's last matchup, but it wasn't enough in an 82-77 loss to the Cleveland State Vikings on January 7. Zae Blake and Garren Davis paced GB with 18 points. Cade Meyer chipped in with 15 points and nine rebounds, which led all players. Randy Tucker and Clarence Cummings III (11 points) were the other two GB players to hit double figures. Neither team led by more than three for almost six minutes in the second half, but CSU pulled away late, handing GB their seventh-straight loss.

OFFENSIVE ONSLAUGHT
Green Bay's offensive performance against Cleveland State was the best of the season to date. A look at the numbers:

  • 77 points (season-high)
  • 5 players in double figures (season-high)
  • 52.1 percent shooting from the floor (season-high)
  • 45.8 percent from deep (season-high)
  • 24 defensive rebounds (ties season high)
  • 18 assists (season-high)

DOMINANT DAVIS
Garren Davis, a guard, was a big reason for GB's offensive success against Cleveland State. He played a season-high 34 minutes and showed out, shooting 6-of-12 from the field and 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. Davis also recorded two assists and was active on defense, tallying a steal and three rebounds. He tied his season-high in shooting percentage (50.0) while his 57.1 percent mark from downtown was also a season-high.

MAKIN' MEYER
Cade Meyer is an instant spark plug for Green Bay. The second-year big man from Monroe, Wisconsin, leads the team in field goals made and attempted and field goal percentage (77-of-139, 55.4 percent). Meyer is best at giving Green Bay second chances, racking up a team-leading 21 offensive rebounds.

COUNT ON CUMMINGS
Clarence Cummings III has provided head coach Will Ryan consistency in his first season as a Phoenix. Cummings, an Orlando native, is shooting 45.3 percent from the field and averages 9.9 points per game, good for third on the team. He is also tied for third on the team in rebounds per game (3.2).

WHAT DO YOU ZAE?
Sophomore guard Zae Blake has been a difference-maker in his first season with Green Bay. Despite missing one game, Blake ranks at or near the top of most statistical categories on the team, including:

  • 1st in three-point percentage (17-of-36, 47.2 percent)
  • 2nd in rebounds (3.8 RPG)
  • 1st in assists (3.4 APG)
  • 1st in steals (1.3 SPG)
  • 2nd in field goal percentage (58-of-108, 53.7 percent)
  • 2nd in points (10.3 PPG)
