Green Bay started the contest with a 16-2 run and after the first 10 minutes of action, GB was up 25-8. The Phoenix continued to pour in on in the second frame, extending the lead to 20 after Schiltz knocked down a long-distance shot. Butler added a pair of free throws seconds before intermission, helping give GB a 43-19 advantage going into the break.

It was a high-scoring affair in the third period, with the squads combining for 44 points. Schreiber helped fend off any comeback attempt from the Billikens, scoring Green Bay's first eight points of the quarter. Natalie Andersen came off the bench and chipped in with five points, one assist, and one rebound.
