ABOUT THE RAIDERS
Picked third in the #HLMBB Preseason Poll, Wright State has gotten off to a 6-6 start through their first twelve games. After starting the season 0-3, the Raiders are 6-3 in their last nine and enter Friday's matchup having won two straight. Wright State is 1-0 in Horizon League play, having handled IUPUI 103-74 back on Nov. 29.

Wright State owns one of the Horizon League's most potent offenses, leading the conference in points per game with 84.1. WSU also shoots a league-leading 52.5 percent from the floor. That offense is led by All-Horizon League First Team selection Trey Calvin. The Raiders point guard leads the HL in scoring, averaging 20.5 points per game. Another main offensive weapon for the Raiders is Tanner Holden, who gets it done in multiple areas, averaging 16.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. Holden is a former two-time First Team All-Horizon League selection who returned to Wright State after a season at Ohio State in 2022-23.

ABOUT THE COLONIALS
Picked to finish seventh in the Horizon League Preseason Poll, Robert Morris has started the season 4-9 and 0-2 in HL play. The Colonials dropped their first two conference games to Northern Kentucky, 77-59, and Youngstown State, 71-57.

The Colonials have an extremely balanced offense, with five players averaging in double figures. Markeese Hastings leads the way with 14.8 points and 8.4 rebounds per game, while Justice Williams (14.1 ppg), Josh Corbin (13.6 ppg), Stephaun Walker (10.6 ppg), and TJ Wainwright (10.0 ppg) are not far behind. Through their first 13 games, RMU has been slightly outscored by their opponents, averaging 72.4 points per game while giving up 73.4.

HISTORY VS WRIGHT STATE
Green Bay is 33-39 all-time against Wright State, including 22-9 at home. However, WSU has won seven straight games against the Phoenix, dating back to a GB win on Feb. 2, 2020.

WSU swept GB last year, with them taking the last meeting 77-57 in Dayton on Feb. 28, 2023. Brandon Noel led the way with 20 points and 16 rebounds.

HISTORY VS ROBERT MORRIS
GB is 1-3 in the all-time series against Robert Morris, including 1-1 at home. Green Bay opened up the series with a win, and the Colonials have responded with three straight wins including a season sweep last season.

LAST TIME OUT
Nonconference action came to a close for Green Bay on Thursday, Dec. 21 as the Phoenix took down MSOE, 79-46. The Phoenix had three players score in double figures, led by David Douglas Jr., who poured in a career-high 15 points, to go with five rebounds. Fellow freshman Marcus Hall also matched his career-high with 12 points, and Noah Reynolds chipped in 10 points, four assists, and two steals. GB held MSOE to 26.1 percent shooting from the floor.

DJ MAKING NOISE
Green Bay Freshman David Douglas Jr. had his fourth-straight performance of double-digit scoring, which is the second-longest streak on the team. Across those four games, he is averaging 13.2 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. Douglas was named the Horizon League Freshman of the Week on Dec. 26 after his career-high 15 points and five rebounds against MSOE on Dec. 21.

REYNOLDS SQUARED
Green Bay is one of two schools in the country who have a brother duo as a coach and a player. Assistant coach Nic Reynolds and Phoenix lead guard Noah Reynolds are brothers. UConn's Mamadou Diarra (Director of Player Development) and Hassan Diarra (senior guard) are the other duo.

EFFICIENT ELIJAH
Another standout for Green Bay this season has been Elijah Jones, who is fifth in the HL in rebounding at 6.8 rebounds per game and second in scoring on GB's roster at 8.8 points per game. Jones is arguably the most efficient player for the Phoenix, hitting 59.2 percent of his shots and 50.0 percent of his shots from the three point line.

COUNT ON CUMMINGS
Since his return to the court on Nov. 29, Clarence Cummings III has been a big contributor to the Phoenix on both sides of the ball. Cummings has scored in double figures twice and is averaging 7.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game. He has also shot well from deep, hitting on eight of his 22 attempts (36.4 percent) from three. Cummings has played in seven games this season, starting in the last three games for the Phoenix.

REYNOLDS ON A MISSION
Noah Reynolds has been a leader on the court for the Phoenix this season. He is currently fifth in the HL in scoring, averaging 17.3 points per game. Reynolds also leads the Horizon League in assists with 4.6 per game, tied with NKU's Michael Bradley. The Phoenix guard scored a career-high 31 points in GB's 70-68 win over UIC, and is currently on a seven game streak of double digit scoring.

IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN GB
Green Bay hired Sundance Wicks as the program's next head coach on March 14, 2023. Wicks comes to the Phoenix after three seasons as an assistant coach at Wyoming. In his first season with the Cowboys, Wicks helped revamp an offense that led the Mountain West in scoring at 76.5 points per game. Prior to his time with the Cowboys, he spent two highly successful years as the head coach at NCAA DII Missouri Western State in St. Joseph, Missouri. The Gillette, Wyo., native led the Griffons to 18 wins in 2019-20, which was the most by the program in 10 years. In his first season at the helm of the program, his team doubled their win total from the year before. In his two seasons, Wicks mentored six All-MIAA players and an NABC All-District selection. Coach Wicks' first win at Green Bay came on Thursday, Nov. 9 against St. Francis (Ill.).

NEW LOOK ROSTER
The Phoenix underwent a roster transformation this past offseason. Of GB's 15 rostered players, three are returners, six are transfers, and six are incoming freshmen.

FAMILIAR FACES
Two of Green Bay's six transfers have played for coach Wicks prior to his time in GB. Will Eames played under coach Wicks at Missouri Western State in 2019-20 when he was the MIAA Freshman of the Year and All-MIAA honorable mention. Another Phoenix that has played for coach Wicks is Wyoming transfer Noah Reynolds. Reynolds was the second leading scorer on Wyoming last year, averaging 14.5 points per game in 19 games played.
