INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Green Bay men's and women's teams had a successful day at the Horizon League Swimming and Diving Championships. The third day consisted of 13 events, beginning with the women's 100-yard butterfly.
WOMEN
McKenna Metropulos started the day with an 11th-place completion in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 56.86.
Later, Kathryn Fisher finished sixth in the 400-yard IM with a time of 4:31.39.
In the 100-yard breaststroke, Faith Eilertson showed out with a 10-place finish. She recorded a time of 1:05.63.
Esther Oswald was solid in the 100-yard backstroke, tallying 13 points and a time of 57.52, best for a sixth-place finish. Her score is a career-best.
Kaleigh Gale finished a lifetime-best in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:56.38 for a 14th-place finish.
MEN
Rafe Dolan Peterson started strong for the men, completing the 100-yard butterfly in sixth place with a score of 48.78. He also completed the 100-yard backstroke in 11th place with a time of 49.79.
Sebby Smolecki posted a ninth-place finish in the 400-yard IM event with a time of 3:55.68.
Max Kasal continued to impress in his freshman campaign, notching a sixth-place completion in the 200-yard freestyle and breaking the freshman record in the process. He posted a time of 1:38.61 and was within three-tenths of a second from a fourth-place finish.
Alex Smolecki, brother of Sebby, tallied six points and a score of 56.80 for an 11th-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Calvin Kremer paced Green Bay in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 3:19.33.
Miles Rohrbaugh concluded his final Championship appearance with a seventh-place finish in the one-meter dive with a score of 288.60.
