GREEN BAY, Wis. – Jasmine Kondrakiewicz led all scorers with 18 points and Cassie Schiltz added 14 more as the Green Bay women's basketball team won the 2023 Barbasol Horizon League Quarterfinal in blowout fashion, 85-57, over Wright State Thursday night at the Kress Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Green Bay came out of the gates scorching hot, taking a commanding 13-point lead at 17-4 after Sydney Levy splashed a triple with 5:03 remaining in the opening frame. GB would extend that lead to 22-4 after another Levy trey on an assist from Natalie McNeal. The Raiders struggled from the field, shooting just 3-for-14 in the frame. Bailey Butler drilled a three to give the Phoenix a 30-9 advantage after the first 10 minutes. GB hit four triples in the first quarter.
The Phoenix continued to dominate in the second stanza, leading by as much as 27. GB's defense suffocated Wright State for the majority of the frame, holding WSU to just 10 points in the first 7:18 of the quarter. The Raiders totaled 16 points in the second quarter, but Green Bay was unstoppable offensively. McNeal was active on the boards, racking up five rebounds and scoring three points in just 4:35 of play. Her old-fashioned three-point play gave the Phoenix a comfortable 52-25 lead going into the break.
GB was in cruise control coming out of intermission, thanks to a solid effort from Schiltz. She filled the stat sheet in the frame, recording four points, two rebounds, two assists. The Phoenix led by no less than 23 in the third quarter, and a quick 5-0 run in the last 1:30 of the frame had Green Bay leading 74-42 heading into the fourth quarter.
Green Bay's bench was active in the final 10 minutes, scoring six of the team's 11 fourth-quarter points. Jenna Guyer, Brooklyn Blackburn, and Brehna Evans each scored two points. Isabelle Bolender scored five of WSU's 15 fourth-quarter points, but a brief comeback attempt wasn't enough as Green Bay cruised to an 85-57 victory to advance to the semifinal round.
