Green Bay Women's Basketball Adds Natalie Andersen

GREEN BAY, Wis. – Green Bay women's basketball and head coach Kevin Borseth announced the addition of Natalie Andersen Tuesday morning. A Mukwonago, Wis., native, Andersen is a graduate transfer from Horizon League rival IUPUI, spending the last four seasons with the Jaguars.

"We couldn't be more excited about Natalie joining our team," said Borseth. "There's so much to like about Natalie, from the experience she has competing at a high level in the Horizon League, to her unique skill set she brings to the court."

Andersen averaged 6.8 points per contest across her four-year career at IUPUI. She is coming off a career year in which she averaged 9.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.0 steals per game. Andersen was part of the Jaguars team that won IUPUI's first-ever women's basketball conference tournament championship in 2020, defeating GB 51-37. Andersen was part of another championship team with IUPUI in 2021-22 when the Jaguars defeated Cleveland State 61-54 to head to the NCAA Tournament.

"Natalie possesses a plethora of skills that fit perfectly into what we do at UWGB," Borseth continued. "We feel confident that she is going to contribute to our success this upcoming season."

Phoenix fans may remember Andersen after starring at Mukwonago High School, helping guide the Indians to two WIAA State Championship appearances. Most notably, Andersen was the second-leading scorer (13 points) in the 2018 State Championship game, only trailing former Green Bay player Sydney Levy (17 points) of Appleton North. In her career at Mukwonago, Andersen averaged 13.0 PPG.

"I chose Green Bay because of the winning culture built by Coach Borseth and his staff," commented Andersen. "Green Bay has an amazing fan base for women's basketball, and I look forward to playing in that environment. I am so excited to play my final year of basketball closer to home with a program of great success."
