GREEN BAY, Wis. – For the 22nd year, Green Bay Athletics held the annual Phoenix-Packers Steak Fry at historic Lambeau Field. The joint venture, established over two decades ago by Titletown's two most legendary teams, supports the Phoenix Fund, the principal fund for student-athlete scholarships, and program support for Green Bay Athletics.

Green Bay Athletics would like to thank all who supported the 2023 Phoenix-Packers Steak Fry, including the presenting sponsor, Prevea Health, members of the Green Bay Packers coaching staff, players, and Packers alum, and each of the Hall of Fame sponsors, All-American sponsors, and MVP sponsors. Administrators, student-athletes, and coaches from each of Green Bay's 14 athletics programs were also in attendance and assisted in executing the events of the Steak Fry.

"This year's Phoenix-Packers Steak Fry is set to finish as the most successful event in its 22-year history," said Associate AD for Development Alan Savage. "I want to thank all our sponsors and attendees who helped bring the energy and make it such an exciting night. The live auction was huge success with many different experiences with Phoenix leaders and all-time greats, as well as Packers experiences too. The Phoenix family showed out and we are so excited to continue to build off the biggest Steak Fry to date. There is still time to help support the needs of our student-athletes, it doesn't stop at the other night."

University Chancellor Dr. Michael Alexander and Director of Athletics Josh Moon spoke at the event, emphasizing UWGB's rapid growth on campus, the importance of the Phoenix Fund, and the critical support needed for Northeast Wisconsin's only Division I athletics program.

Dr. Ashok Rai of Prevea Health and Green Bay Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy also addressed the crowd, discussing their partnerships with UW-Green Bay and the importance of the community's relationship with Green Bay Athletics. Green Bay Volleyball student-athlete Tiffany Paalman talked about her journey to Green Bay and what the 'Green Bay Way' means to her.

Brian Kuklinski, the voice of Green Bay men's basketball, served as emcee.

A special thanks to Phoenix Fund Board members and the Steak Fry Committee (Sid Boehm, Margarita's), Barry Melotte (Melotte Distributing), Pat Duescher (Green Bay Athletics), Cathy Dworak (Green Bay Packers), Jess Miller (The Bar/Hagermeister Park/Graystone Ale House), and Denis Kreft (Imaginasium, Inc.). Boehm also served as the program's auctioneer.

The 23rd annual Phoenix-Packers Steak Fry will be held on April 16, 2024, in the Lambeau Field Atrium.
