HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Green Bay men's basketball team's three game win streak came to an end Saturday night as the Phoenix fell at Northern Kentucky, 74-52.
Elijah Jones led the Phoenix (12-9, 7-3) with 11 points. Marcus Hall added seven points and 10 rebounds from the bench, and Noah Reynolds chipped in with nine points and four assists.
Marques Warrick led the Norse with 21 points and three rebounds.
GB struggled to get going from the field Saturday, shooting 35.2 percent compared to NKU's 53.1 percent.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Northern Kentucky took control of the game from the jump, getting out to a 13-6 lead to start. Green Bay bounced back with a 5-0 run after a Will Eames three narrowed the deficit to 13-11. The Norse responded, however, outscoring the Phoenix 20-12 the rest of the half to take a 33-25 lead into the halftime break.
NKU didn't slow down in the second half, never allowing the Phoenix to cut the lead to anything lower than eight en route to a 74-52 win.

The Phoenix will return home for a pair of games at the Resch Center, starting with Oakland on Thursday at 6 p.m. Alumni Day will follow on Saturday when GB hosts Detroit Mercy at noon.
