ABOUT THE JAGUARS
IUPUI enters Wednesday night with a 4-13 record overall and a 2-6 record in conference play. Head Coach Kate Bruce is in her 2nd season after taking over for Austin Parkinson, Butler's current head coach, last season. The Jaguars boast four different players who lead the team among notable statistical categories. Katie Davidson paces IUPUI in points (18.7 PPG), steals (1.3 SPG), and minutes (33.7 MPG). Jasmyn Turner is the team's leading rebounder at 7.3 RPG, while Jaela Johnson averages 2.3 assists per contest and Tahlia Walton tallies 1.2 blocks per game.

HISTORY VS. IUPUI
Green Bay has a 10-5 record against the Jaguars. Green Bay has won the last three meetings while scoring 70 or more points in each game. Historically, the Phoenix averages just over 60 points per contest against IUPUI. When in Indianapolis during the regular season, Green Bay is 5-1 at IUPUI. GB's last loss at IUPUI was on January 6, 2022, by a final score of 51-49.

NAT ATTACK
Natalie McNeal has been a rebounding machine this season, pacing the squad with 6.0 rebounds per game. The fourth-year player from Germantown, Wisconsin is in her second season as a Phoenix after spending her first two collegiate years with Saint Louis. Her 6.0 RPG is currently on pace for a career-high. Her previous high was 5.3 RPG with the Billikens during the 2021-22 season. McNeal tied her season-high in rebounds with nine last Thursday night against Youngstown State, finishing one rebound shy of her fifth career double-double. McNeal dominated in the loss against Oakland last Saturday, racking up a career-high 24 points.

TAKING NOTE
When Green Bay wins this season, they dominate. The Phoenix ranks 25th in scoring margin, winning by an average of 17.7 points per game. Green Bay is also 14-1 in games where the final score was decided by 11 or more points. GB's close defeat to Oakland was the first game that Green Bay has had finish within 10 points since the beginning of the team's 10-game win streak, a 64-56 win over UIC in mid-December. The Phoenix recorded its first 10+-game win streak since the program ripped off 13 victories in a row from January 22-March 6, 2023 last season with the win over Detroit Mercy last week Thursday.

SHINING SCHREIBER
Maddy Schreiber has been a big part of Green Bay's success this season, scoring at least 12 points in 12 of the first 19 contests, including four straight prior to the UIC game a month ago. In those 12 games, GB's record is 9-3. She chipped in with 12 points in the upset win over then No. 23-ranked Washington State, 14 points in the upset victory over then No. 22-ranked Creighton, and poured in a career-high 23 points in the win over Milwaukee on November 30. Schreiber tallied 16 points in the win over Cleveland State a couple weekends ago before tallying 12 points in GB's win over Robert Morris.

DOING A SUPER(LATIVE) JOB
GB has had unparalleled success during this season, but especially during the 10-game winning streak that ended last weekend. Here's a breakdown of the most eye-opening superlatives prior to Wednesday night's contest against IUPUI:

  • There has been only one game that finished within three points.
  • GB is 10-0 versus winning teams.
  • All four of GB's losses are against teams that are at or below .500.
  • The Phoenix is 12-1 when scoring 70+ points.
  • Green Bay has recorded a higher field goal percentage than its opponents 15 times, reigning victorious in all 15 contests.
  • GB is 14-1 when leading at the half.
  • Green Bay is 12-0 when surrendering less than 60 points.
  • The Phoenix has held all but one opponent (Oakland on Jan. 20) to less than 50-percent shooting.

CASSIE CRASHING THE BOARDS
Junior guard Cassie Schiltz has been dominant from the field this season, shooting 45.1-percent overall, 39.7-percent from beyond the arc, and 92.3-percent from the charity stripe. Schiltz, who garnered her first Horizon League Player of the Week honor at the beginning of the month, also racked up 11 rebounds in GB's win at Wright State two weeks ago. Last weekend, she was in double-double territory again when she scored six points and grabbed 10 rebounds, marking the second time this season she's reached double-figure rebounding and the third time in her career.

WE THE BEST
As of January 23, Green Bay ranks in the top 50 in the country in several statistical categories, including the following:

  • Scoring Offense (75.7 PPG, 49th)
  • Scoring Margin (+17.7, 25th)
  • Field Goal Percentage (49.5, 8th)
  • Free Throw Percentage (79.1, 8th)
  • Three-point percentage (35.4, 43rd)
  • Assists per Game (18.6, 18th)
  • Turnovers per Game (11.4, 7th)
  • Fouls per Game (14.1, 31st)
  • Assist-to-turnover ratio (1.63, 4th)

KEVIN!
Head Coach Kevin Borseth is once again on the brink of another historic career milestone. After earning his 800th career win on December 13, he is three wins away from collecting his 500th win as the Head Coach of the Phoenix. KB is also just 16 victories from tallying his 600th win as a Division I Head Coach. The legendary HC is currently on track to get his 500th win with the Phoenix on Feburary 3 when Green Bay visits Cleveland State. Both programs are currently tied for first place in the Horizon League.

WELCOME TO TITLETOWN
The Phoenix boasts a trio of true freshmen (Maren Westin, Sophie Lahti, and Meghan Schultz) and one transfer (Natalie Andersen, IUPUI). Westin and Andersen are guards, while Lahti and Schultz bring height to the forward position. Schultz stands at six feet, four inches, surpassing Kendall Renard as the tallest player on the team. The Phoenix once again boast a roster of mostly homegrown talent. Of the 13 players on the roster, 10 are from the dairyland. Only Westin (Becker, Minn.), Lahti (Pine City, Minn.), and Jenna Guyer (Circle Pines, Minn.) are not from Wisconsin.
