PEORIA, Ill. – The Green Bay cross country team was back in action early Friday afternoon at the Bradley Pink Classic, hosted by Bradley University.
GB battled against a host of other teams, including Marquette, Milwaukee, Northern Kentucky, and Wright State.
Ava Lorenz paced the Phoenix women with a time of 23:04.9, while sophomore
Noah Jahnke was dominant again. He took 30
th overall in the men's 8k with a time of 24:20.5.
The Phoenix took 20
th overall in the men's race and 32
nd in the women's competition.

MEN'S RECAP
Behind Jahnke was senior
Riley Siltman, who sported a time of 24:44.6 for a 68
th place completion. Freshman
Carter Scholey came through by posting a time of 25:32.5, best for 161
st place.
WOMEN'S RECAP
Another freshman,
Emily Herrera, chipped in with a time of 23:23.4, good 208
th place. Senior
Ellie Smith was seconds behind her, finishing in 211
th place with a time of 23:26.6.
ON THE HORIZON
The Phoenix has just under two weeks to prep for the Horizon League Championships, which is hosted by Green Bay this season. More information regarding live timing and broadcast will be released soon. The women's 6k is scheduled to start at 11:00 AM central, followed by the men's 8k at noon central.
