Jenna Guyer made a layup to extend GB's lead to 25-16 with 6:21 left before halftime, but the Blue Demons stuck around, pulling back to within three after a Johnson-Matthews layup. She made another jumper before the buzzer, but Green Bay went into the locker room up 32-28.

DePaul had some early momentum out of the break, tying the game at 32 after an Allen jumper. The Phoenix had an answer, responding with a 15-4 run that culminated with an emphatic and-one by Schreiber, putting GB up 47-36 with 5:19 left in the third.
