Kayla Karius will tally her first game in front of the Kress Center crowd since being named the program's fourth head coach earlier this spring.

ABOUT THE PANTHERS
Northern Iowa began the 2024-25 season with a 99-56 victory over LaCrosse on Tuesday. Senior guard Maya McDermott led UNI with 18 points and seven assists, while Ryley Goebel could be found all over the stat sheet with four steals and two blocks in just 22 minutes of play. Ellie Foster, who spent the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons with the Phoenix, will return to the Kress Center for the first time since joining the Panthers. Head Coach Tanya Warren looks to continue a stellar career, entering Saturday's contest with a 323-227 record, spending all 18 seasons at UNI.

GOTTA GUARD GENKE
Callie Genke stepped up for the Phoenix off the bench in Monday's game at Kansas State. The Wrightstown, Wisconsin native scored eight points in 19 minutes of action, shooting an efficient 3-for-6. Genke was 2-for-3 from beyond the arc and also grabbed two rebounds.
SENIORS STEPPING UP
Seven of the 13 rostered players for Green Bay are of senior or graduating status. Meyer, Schiltz, McNeal,
Callie Genke,
Jasmine Kondrakiewicz,
Bailey Butler, and
Maddy Schreiber combined for over 700 career games against Kansas State. Green Bay boasting seven seniors is the most since the 2019-20 season when the program had four.Â
SHARP-SHOOTIN' SCHREIBER
Senior guard/forward
Maddy Schreiber is another returnee for the Phoenix. In 2023-24, she finished 162-of-293 overall (55.3 percent) while drilling 41 of 97 three-points attempts (42.3 percent). She was also sharp from the charity stripe, knocking down 45 of 55 free throw attempts (81.8 percent). Maddy was second on the team in points per game (12.1), only trailing McNeal. She played a team-high 32 minutes and scored seven points in the loss to Kansas State this past Monday.
MAKIN' MCNEAL
Natalie McNeal returns to the Phoenix in 2024 after playing a cruicial role in Green Bay's success last season. She paced the Green and White in field goals made and attempted, free throws made and attempted, points, and rebounds last year. McNeal dropped a career-high 32 against Cleveland State in the Horizon League Championship Game in March, helping the Phoenix punch its ticket to a 19th NCAA Tournament berth. McNeal paced the team with 14 points in just 21 minutes against Kansas State this past Monday.
