ABOUT THE RED HAWKS
The contest will count as an exhibition for Ripon, but the Red Hawks are coming to Titletown playing well to begin the 2024-25 campaign. Ella Ten Pas is Ripon's most dynamic player, leading the Red Hawks in points (12.3 PPG), rebounds (12.0 RPG), steals (3.0 SPG), and is tied with Halle Van Horn with the most blocks (0.9 BPG). Head coach Lauren Busalacchi is in her 11th season as a collegiate HC, all spent with Ripon. She has a 165-103 record in that time.
1. MIDDY McNEAL
Natalie McNeal has been reliable to begin her 2024-25 campaign. No. 11 returned to the starting lineup on Wednesday at Milwaukee after missing the previous two games (vs. IU Indianapolis,at Purdue Fort Wayne). She has made 47 of 104 field goals so far (45.2 percent). McNeal has been one of Green Bay's best rebounders as well, averaging 5.1 per game, only trailing
Jasmine Kondrakiewicz (6.9 RPG). McNeal scored her 1,000th career point on a fadeaway mid-range shot against Virginia on Thanksgiving Day. Against Milwaukee on Wednesday, McNeal tallied 11 points in just 11 minutes on 4-of-8 shooting. She is tied with
Maddy Schreiber for the most double-figure scoring games this season with seven.
2. IT'S GOOD TO BE GENKE
Callie Genke has had a phenomenal start to the 2024-25 campaign. No. 12 has been a remarkable 34-for-71 (47.9 percent) overall while drilling 24 of 49 three-point field goal attempts (49.0 percent). Genke is also 12-of-15 from the free-throw line (80 percent). Callie officially played her 100th career game against IU Indy on December 4. Genke is currently three 3-pointers away from 100.
3. THERE GOES GUYER
Center/forward
Jenna Guyer helped the Phoenix down the stretch last season and is off to a strong start this year. The CIrcle Pines, Minnesota native has scored at least six points in eight of the first 12 contests, including at least seven points on seven occassions. Guyer grabbed a career-high seven rebounds on December 4 against IU Indy. She is 16 steals from 50 in her career and 37 assists away from reaching 100 in her career.
4. SHARP-SHOOTIN' SCHREIBER
Maddy Schreiber has made 57-of131 field goals so far during the 2024-25 campaign while being one of GB's most effective free throw shooters (27-of-32, 84.4 percent). Schreiber leads in the team in points with 157 (avg. 13.1 per game), FGs averaging 4.8 per game making 43.5%, FT with a percetage of 84.4%, and also averages the most minutes of the team with 31.2.
