INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Day one of the Horizon League Swim and Dive Championships concluded Wednesday evening.
The Phoenix had numerous personal records set, including four on the women's team and five on the men's team, all by different student-athletes.
Esther Oswald set a new PR in the backstroke with a time of 26.79, while
Ella Anderson posted a time of 29.73 in the breaststroke.
Kaleigh Gale and
Alexa Kelly also tallied a personal best in the 200-yard freestyle, marking a time of 1:56.19 and 1:55.92, respectively.
Green Bay was led by
Calvin Kremer's time of 23.47 in the 50-yard backstroke, while
Max Kasal and
Eli Zimmerman notched PRs in the 50 and 200-yard freestyle, respectively.
Nathan Halbach was solid in the 50-yard butterfly, ending with a time of 21.84.
GB will resume #HLSD action tomorrow morning with preliminaries in the 500-yard freestyle, 200 IM, and 50-yard freestyle. ESPN+ will stream the preliminaries at 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. CST, with final beginning on ESPN+ at 4:30 p.m. CST.
