CLEVELAND, Ohio – A career day from Natalie McNeal wasn't enough as the Green Bay women's basketball team fell to Cleveland State 86-63 Saturday afternoon at the Wolstein Center.
McNeal dropped a new career-high in points with 30 to lead the Phoenix (17-5, 10-2 HL), while Maddy Schreiber added 14.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Green Bay fell behind early, facing a nine-point deficit after Colbi Maples made a layup. GB clawed back into the game and cut the deficit to five after Callie Genke splashed a three. Perdue made a three to begin the second quarter, extending CSU's lead to 10. The Phoenix continued to answer the bell after that, and a mid-range jumper from McNeal narrowed the Vikings' advantage to one with 3:31 remaining in the first half. Cleveland State ended the half on a 6-0 run to take a 37-30 lead into the break.
The third quarter began similarly to the first quarter, with CSU breaking away for a 13-point advantage after Maples drilled a three. GB continued to show no quit, and a Jasmine Kondrakiewicz and-one pulled the Phoenix back to within five at 54-49. Cleveland State went ablaze from three-point land in the final stanza, drilling four triples in less than four-and-a-half minutes, taking a commanding 21-point lead after Maples knocked down another one. CSU ran away with the game in the final quarter, defeating GB 86-63.
