Green Bay Takes Back Sole Possession of First Place in the Horizon League with Overtime Win at Robert Morris

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The Green Bay men's basketball team won their fourth straight game and maintained their first place standing in the Horizon League, taking down Robert Morris on the road in overtime, 81-76. The Phoenix sit alone in first place after Oakland fell in overtime at Northern Kentucky to drop to 10-4 in the Horizon League.

Noah Reynolds poured in a game-high 32 points to go with five rebounds and two blocks to lead the Phoenix (16-9, 11-3). Reynolds has now scored 30+ points six times this season. Preston Ruedinger also scored 16 points, while Elijah Jones finished with 12 points and eight rebounds.

The Colonials were led by the duo of Markeese Hastings and Josh Corbin. Hastings finished the night with 25 points and four rebounds, while Corbin had 23 points, five assists, and four rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After jumping out to an 18-12 advantage, Green Bay went on a 6-0 run with 10:18 left in the first half, culminating in a three from Ruedinger, to increase its lead to 24-12. The Colonials battled back, cutting the GB lead to 32-27 before the half.

Robert Morris used that late first half momentum and carried it over into the second, starting with a 6-0 run to take a 33-32 lead before the Phoenix responded with a 7-0 run of their own to seize back a 39-33 lead with 17:42 to go in the contest. GB maintained that lead between four to six points until the final four minutes of the second half when the Colonials came alive and outscored Green Bay 9-5 to tie the game at 65-65 and force overtime.

Big buckets from Clarence Cummings III and Ruedinger in overtime gave the Phoenix a late 74-70 lead. That forced the Colonials to foul down the stretch, and GB hit seven of eight shots from the charity stripe to ice the game.
