RALEIGH, N.C. – The 2023-24 campaign came to a close for the Green Bay women's basketball team on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Tennessee Lady Volunteers in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. GB finishes the year with a 27-7 record.

Natalie Andersen made a triple that cut Tennessee's lead to 28-26, but the Lady Volunteers slowly pulled away before halftime, going on a 16-2 run to end the first half. The Phoenix missed nine straight field goals going into the break.
Tennessee didn't slow down after intermission, ballooning the lead to 26 after a Darby three. Jenna Guyer answered with a trey moments later, but the Lady Volunteers ended the third period on a 5-0 spurt, extending the lead back to 26. Tennessee led by no fewer than 27 points in the fourth quarter, ending Green Bay's season with the final score of 92-63.
