ABOUT THE RAIDERS
Wright State has struggled overall this season but has perhaps played their best basketball at home, where all four of their wins have come. It's been nearly a half-decade since the Phoenix lost in Dayton, last dropping a contest at the Nutter Center in early January of 2019. Green Bay hasn't had any trouble in the scoring department in recent matchups against WSU, scoring at least 67 points in six of the last seven matchups in Dayton. Overall, the Green and White has given up 63 or fewer points to the Raiders in the last seven contests and 67 or fewer points in the last 11 contests. GB just saw Wright State less than three weeks ago, taking down the Raiders 69-51 at the Kress Center behind 14 points from
Callie Genke and another 13 apiece from
Cassie Schiltz and
Natalie McNeal.
Amaya Staton has been one of Wright State's better players this season, averaging a team-best 10.2 points per game and 7.8 rebounds per contest. She also leads the team in blocks with 1.7 BPG. Olivia Brown has been getting it done on both ends of the floor, pacing WSU in assists (2.8 APG) and steals (1.3 SPG).
1. BIG J STEPPING UP
Jenna Guyer has been a crucial part of Green Bay's success this season. 'Big J' posted 18 points against Parkside on December 21, a career-high, before following it up with a new career-high 22 points against Northern Kentucky on January 2. Against Wright State on January 4, she grabbed a career-best 10 rebounds. Guyer has scored at least seven points in 13 of GB's 20 matchups.
2. GREEN BAY RANKS IN THE HORIZON LEAGUE
Offense
1. Purdue Fort Wayne - 78.1 PPG
2. Cleveland State - 76.1 PPG
3. Green Bay - 67.1 PPG
Defense
1. Green Bay - 57.9 PPG
2. Cleveland State - 60.2 PPG
3. Youngstown State - 60.4 PPG
3. THE GREAT GENKE
Callie Genke is having a phenomenal 2024-25 campaign. No. 12 has been a remarkable 68-for-137 overall while drilling 43 of 94 three-point field goal attempts. Genke is also 18-of-23 from the free-throw line. Callie officially played her 100th career game against IU Indy on December 4. She is also 10th in the country in three-point percentage. She has led the team in scoring three times this season, most recently against Oakland when she scored a season-best 22 points. On pace for a career year, she currently has:
• Career-high in field goal percentage (49.6 percent; 5.3 percent above the next highest).
• Career-high 45.7 percent from beyond the arc (7.5 percent above the next highest).
• Career-best 9.9 points per game.
4. CASH MONEY CASS
Cassie Schiltz is shining in her final season with the Phoenix. She had a season-best 20 points and 10 rebounds, just her second double-double of her career. No. 1 is shooting 41.9 percent overall, 42.2 percent from beyond the arc, and is a perfect 15-for-15 from the charity stripe. Schiltz also ranks inside the top eight in program history with 174 three-point field goals made. Schiltz was named Horizon League Player of the Week on January 6 for the second time in her career.
5. KONDRAKIEWICZ IS COOKIN'
Jasmine Kondrakiewicz is having a superb season. She leads the team in rebounds, steals, and blocks. Kondrakiewicz has grabbed 136 rebounds, which ranks 138th in the nation. 'Jas' became the 40th player in program history to reach 1,000 points in the win over Detroit Mercy on January 16, making a layup with 4:40 remaining in the fourth quarter. She notched her 100th career block on January 2 against Northern Kentucky. Her seven steals against Ripon College last month were a career-high, while also recording her seventh career double-double against Ripon (14 pts., 13 rebs.). GB's win over Wright State on January 4 was the 100th win she's been part of in her career. Jasmine was also recently named to the
'So You Want To Be A Coach' Program by the WBCA (Women's Basketball Coaches Associaton).
