INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - For the second time in her career,
Cassie Schiltz has been named Horizon League Player of the Week. The Horizon League announced the award Monday afternoon.
It is the third time a GB player has won the award this season. Natalie McNeal (Nov. 25) and Maddy Schreiber (Nov. 18) also received the accolade.
The Luxemburg, Wisconsin native helped lead Green Bay to wins over Wright State and Northern Kentucky this past weekend. She made five threes vs. Northern Kentucky last Thursday, the second-most in a single game in her career. Cassie also recorded six assists against NKU, tied for second-most among all players in the contest.
Schiltz filled the stat sheet against the Raiders on Saturday afternoon, grabbing two rebounds and tallying three more assists along with 13 points. Following the game, she moved into a tie for ninth all-time with Frankie Wurtz (2015-2020) with 163 made three-point field goals in her career.
Green Bay is back in action later this week, visiting Youngstown State (Thursday, 5:30 PM) and Robert Morris (Saturday, 1 PM).
