Jahnke Takes 1st at Notre Dame

Notre Dame, Ind.  -  Noah Jahnke does it again, winning his fourth consecutive race of the season.  The junior from Green Bay paced the field at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invite with an 8K time of 23:58.5.  The men's team finished ninth out of 2.  The women finished 18 of 22 and were led by Cianna Wipperfurth in 68th.

Men's Recap

For the fourth straight meet in 2025, Noah Jahnke crossed the finish line first.  His 8K time of 23.58.5 was 23 seconds faster than second place.  Mason Gates was next to cross the line with the Phoenix, finishing 15th with a time of 24:45.8. The team's ninth-place finish bested in-state rivals Milwaukee and Marquette, as well as Horizon League foes Wright State, Purdue Fort Wayne, and Robert Morris.

Women's Recap

It was once again the freshmen leading the way for the Phoenix women.  Cianna Wipperfurth was the top Green Bay runner in 68th with a 5K time of 18:47.2.  Madison Lotten was 87th, with Lyla Vlcek a position behind in 88th.  The team finished 18th of 22, ahead of the Horizon League teams of Cleveland State and Robert Morris.

Both teams will travel to Peoria, Ill., on October 17 for the Bradley Pink Classic.
