INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – On Thursday afternoon, the Horizon League unveiled the 2025-26 Under Armour women's basketball preseason poll. Green Bay was picked to finish first with 117 points and eight first-place votes. Robert Morris was picked to finish second with 97 points and one first-place vote.
Green Bay also had multiple players picked on the Preseason All-League teams, highlighted by
Maddy Skorupski, who made the First Team cut. Skorupski is the lone Horizon League All-Leaguer returning from the 2024-25 season. The 5-8 guard averaged 16.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game with Oakland a year ago.
Also making an appearance on the Preseason All-League Second Team are
Jenna Guyer and
Kamy Peppler. Guyer, a returner, will feature in a larger role heading into her redshirt-senior season, while Peppler joined the Phoenix from Milwaukee over the offseason. Last year, Peppler featured as Milwaukee's starting point guard, playing in all 32 games and averaging 9.3 points and 4.7 assists per game.
Green Bay was picked to win the conference despite completely reloading in the offseason, graduating 85% of its minutes and as well as 85% of its scoring output from the 2024-25 season. However, the Phoenix was able to bring in experienced transfers, including Skorupski and Peppler, to lead the team in 2025-26. GB has eight newcomers, made up of six transfers and two true freshmen.
The Phoenix coaching staff will also look a little bit different this year, with
Patrick Bowlin returning as an assistant coach, and former player
Jasmine Kondrakiewicz joining the staff as an Assistant Coach / Director of Basketball Operations.
Green Bay will start the 2025-26 season with a home exhibition against UW-Platteville on October 18, followed by the regular season opener against UW-Stevens Point on November 3.
Season tickets and individual tickets are
