MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - The Green Bay volleyball team needed just three sets (25-13, 25-22, 25-23) to beat the Robert Morris Colonials Saturday on the road at UPMC Events Center.

The conference win improved Green Bay's record to 11-18 overall and 10-8 in Horizon League play. Green Bay will enter the Horizon League Championships as the No. 6 seed.

The Phoenix attack was paced once again by Gillian Koning, who finished with 13 kills on the day with a hitting percentage of .257, and by Diane Pichelman, who had 10. The Phoenix got 10 digs from Emma Best to lead them defensively. Emma Johnson spread the ball around on offense, finishing with 32 assists.

HOW IT HAPPENED
SET 1 | The Phoenix took control of the set-one lead at 4-3 and never trailed again to win 25-13. Green Bay opened up its biggest lead, 12 points, to close out the set. Green Bay supplemented their offense with three aces in the opening set.

SET 2 | Green Bay continued to roll after a set-one win by earning a 25-22 victory in set two. Green Bay led by as many as seven points at 19-12 before RMU pulled it back to two at 20-18, but the Phoenix edged out the Colonials to close out the set. Koning closed it out with a match-winning kill to end a 2-0 run from the hosts.

SET 3 | Green Bay kept the momentum going, winning another close set to close it out. GB trailed 20-18 before ending the set on a 7-3 run to secure the sweep.

GAME NOTES
» Jessica Kurpeikis had a team-high two aces in the win.
» Green Bay outhit RMU, .280 to .145.
» GB outscored RMU 75-58 across the three sets.
» Green Bay is set to appear in its 10^th straight Horizon League Championship Tournament.

Green Bay will await results around the league this afternoon to see who they play in the Quarterfinal of the Horizon League Championships. The event will be hosted at No. 1 Northern Kentucky in Highland Heights, Ky. from Nov. 21-23
