ABOUT THE WOLFPACK
The 3-3 #25 nationally ranked Wolfpack is led by reigning ACC head coach of the year, Wes Moore, who's in his 13th season with NC State. The Wolfpack has qualified for 8 March Madness Tournaments in a row, including a run to the Final Four in 2024. Prior to NC State, Moore led Chattanooga to nine appearances in the tournament. NC State is led by Khamil Pierre, who simultaneously leads the Wolfpack in scoring with 13.3 points per game and rebounding 10.8 boards per game. Three other players average double digits for the Wolfpack, led by Zoe Brooks, who is second on the team in points (11.8 ppg) and rebounds (8.2 per game), only trailing Pierre. Brooks leads NC State with 5 assists per game and 35.8 minutes per game. Tilda Trygger leads NC State in blocks, averaging 1.3 per game, while averaging 11.2 points per game, and the fourth double-digit scorer for the Wolfpack is Zamareya Jones with 11.0 points per game, and tied with Pierre for the team lead in steals, with 1.16 per game.

ABOUT THE SPIDERS
Richmond holds a 5-1 record coming into the Cancun Challenge, with their only loss coming to #4 Texas on Friday, Nov. 7. The Spiders are led by seventh-year head coach Aaron Roussell. He became the program's 17th head coach and has 21 years of head coaching experience with a career winning percentage of .696 and an overall record of 434-186 following the conclusion of the 2024-25 season. Richmond has three players averaging double figures, led by Maggie Doogan, who scores 23.2 points per game, which is tied for 12th in the country. Doogan also averages 11.5 rebounds per contest.

MEG-NIFICENT MEGHAN
Redshirt-Sophomore Meghan Schultz continued her breakout season in the team's 47-44 win over Kansas State, scoring 12 points while grabbing a team high ten boards, recording the first double-double of her career, and the first of the season for any Green Bay player. Schultz swatted the game-saving block in the final seconds that helped secure the major win for the Phoenix. Schultz is leading the team in points per game, averaging 16.3, and leads the team in rebounds per game with 5.5.

SKORING SKORUPSKI
Former Oakland standout and the lone Horizon League All-League player left in the league from a season ago, Maddy Skorupski, will wear the Green & White in her senior season. Skorupski is second on the team in points per game at 9.8 and second in assists per game, averaging 4.0. She is second on the Phoenix with 5.3 rebounds per game and leads GB with 2.1 steals per game. The native of Clarkston, Mich., was the leading scorer for Green Bay in their win over Loyola Chicago on Nov. 6, tallying 15 points.

CARLEY'S COMEBACK
A disciple of Kayla Karius during their time together at South Dakota, the two-time CSC Academic All-District and former 1,000-point scorer of Green Bay Preble High School returns home to Green Bay as a senior. Through six games, Duffney is averaging 9.8 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. Duffney has scored in double figures in four out of GB's six games.

PEPPLER ON POINT
Previously an All-Freshman Team selection for the Horizon League in 2022-23, and the 2022 Wisconsin Miss Basketball award winner, Kamy Peppler spent the last three seasons with Milwaukee in the Horizon League. The Hortonville, Wis. native, is averaging 9.3 points and is first on the team in assists, averaging 5.5 per game. Peppler recorded a season-high 15 points in Green Bay's loss to Wisconsin last Sunday, and tied season highs on Saturday vs Kansas State, dishing 7 assists and grabbing 3 steals.

LAST TIME OUT
On Saturday afternoon, the Green Bay Women's Basketball team gutted out a win over Kansas State, 47-44. GB was led by 13 points from Maddy Skorupski and a 12-point, 10-rebound day from Meghan Schultz. Green Bay is now 2-0 in games vs. Big-12 teams at the Kress. The defense was the main contributing factor to the Phoenix. GB held K-State to just 31.1 percent shooting and 8.7 percent shooting from three. The win is the first for the Phoenix over a Big-12 school since the 2021-22 season.

WINNING WITH KARIUS
Head Coach Kayla Karius earned her 70th career win in her fourth season as an NCAA Division I head coach on Thursday, with a 76-64 win against New Hampshire.

Fastest to 25 wins - Green Bay HC history *since becoming a Division I program in 1987*
1. Matt Bollant - 29 games (2007-08)
2. Kayla Karius - 30 games (2024-25)
3. Carol Hammerle - 33 games (1987-88)
4. Kevin Borseth - 41 games (1998-99)

KARIUS ERA
After winning the Horizon League and making the NCAA Tournament in her first season as the Phoenix Head Coach, Kayla Karius will look to do the same in year two with an overhauled roster. Green Bay graduated seven seniors and 85.2% of its scoring from 2024-25. The 2025-26 Phoenix features eight newcomers, consisting of six transfers and two true freshmen. After two seasons as the head coach at South Dakota and her season with the Phoenix, Karius holds an all-time record of 71-36.
