BUIES CREEK, N.C. - The Green Bay men's basketball team fell 102-79 to the Campbell Fighting Camels on the road Tuesday afternoon. Campbell was led by a career-high performance by former Phoenix player Jeremiah Johnson, who scored 27 points.

The Phoenix (6-8) had three players score in double figures, led by Preston Ruedinger, who had 14 points. Marcus Hall added 12 points, and C.J. O'Hara chipped in as well with 10 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Johnson scored Campbell's first five points before Green Bay responded and pulled ahead 15-10 early after a Keegan Van Kauwenberg three. Green Bay and Campbell would trade the lead before the Phoenix fell behind 44-37 heading into halftime. It appeared that Kauwenberg had cut the deficit to four with a last-second three, but the shot was waved off.

Campbell kept widening its lead after intermission, constructing a 102-72 advantage before Green Bay went on a 7-0 run, finished off by Vukasin Todorovic's jumper, to shrink the deficit to 102-79 with nine seconds to go in the contest. Campbell was on fire in the second half, shooting 71.8-percent in the game's final 20 minutes.

» The Green Bay bench made an impact by scoring 37 points to its scoring output.
» The Phoenix shot 57.6-percent from the floor, just behind Campbell's 60.3-percent shooting.
» Green Bay got a team-high five rebounds from C.J. O'Hara.
» Campbell shot 58.3-percent from three, including a season high 6-6 from DJ Smith.
» The Camels had five players in double figures.
» Campbell outrebounded Green Bay 31-24.

Green Bay will pick up its season in the new year, when they travel to Purdue Fort Wayne on January 1 for a 1 p.m. matchup with the Mastodons.
