GREEN BAY, Wis . – Green Bay fell for the second time this season to Northern Kentucky on Friday at the Kress Center. The Norse took down the Phoenix by a final score of 73-60.
The Phoenix (2-24, 0-15) had two players score in double figures, led by Marcus Hall, who had 19 points. Foster Wonders tacked on 11 points and Jeremiah Johnson added eight points and eight rebounds.
Josh Dilling was on fire from three, finishing 5-for-10 and pouring in 25 points to lead the Norse. Trey Robinson also finished with 20 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Green Bay took a 14-9 lead after eight early points from Marcus Hall, capped off by a made layup with 14:13 to go. Northern Kentucky responded with a 9-0 run of their own to take an 18-14 lead that they would never relinquish. From that point forward, the Norse outscored GB 24-17 to take a 42-31 lead into the break.
The Phoenix battled hard and cut it to six at 53-47 after an and-one from Preston Ruedinger with 13:21 to go. However, that was as close as the game got, as NKU pushed that lead back out to double digits and secured the 73-60 win.
GAME NOTES
» Green Bay was outrebounded by NKU 39-33.
» The Phoenix shared the ball well, recording an assist on 76 percent of made field goals.
» Both teams commit 13 turnovers.
» Marcus Hall scored in double figures for the 17th time this season.
» Green Bay shot 30.9 percent to NKU's 49.1 percent.

Green Bay has one more game at the Kress Center this weekend, taking on Wright State on Sunday at 2 p.m. Following, the Phoenix will head back on the road next weekend with Robert Morris on Friday, Feb. 21 at 6 p.m. before Youngstown State on Sunday, Feb. 23 at 1 p.m.
