ABOUT THE TITANS
Detroit Mercy is among three teams vying for a first-round bye in the Horizon League Tournament. Aaliyah McQueen is a huge reason for putting the Titans in that position, leading the way in nearly every major statistical category. She paces UDM in points, rebounds, steals, blocks, and minutes. The Titans have played their best basketball at home, posting a 9-3 record at Calihan Hall, as opposed to a 4-7 record outside of Detroit.
The Phoenix is a whopping 61-8 all-time against Detroit Mercy, having won the last 15 meetings. GB has lost to UDM just twice since 2010, spanning 31 matchups. Green Bay has racked up at least 75 points in three of the last four meetings. In the Motor City, Green Bay is 23-6. GB hasn't lost in Detroit since 2/4/17. Going back to 2013 (12 road matchups), GB has scored at least 70 points seven times.
1. ALL WE DO IS WIN, WIN, WIN
Green Bay's 15-game winning streak is the longest since the 2012-13 season, when the Phoenix rattled off a whopping 24 consecutive victories. GB had a 13-game winning streak in 2022-23 and 2015-16, which was surpassed last Saturday versus Robert Morris.
2. 1,000 TIMES 2
Maddy Schreiber and
Natalie McNeal are nearing more career accolades. McNeal, who eclipsed 1,000 total career points earlier this season, is just 11 points from achieving 1,000 points specifically as a Phoenix. Schreiber, who attended Kimberly High School about an hour south of UWGB, is 27 points away from the same feat.
3. IT'S A WIN-WIN
With the victory on January 16 against the Detroit Mercy, Green Bay recorded its 1,100th overall win since the program's inception in 1973. A win over IU Indy (formerly IUPUI) on December 4 gave the Phoenix 450 victories all-time between the program's time in the MCC and Horizon League. GB collected its 464th conference win all-time on Thursday at Oakland, by far the most in the conference. Milwaukee (277) and Detroit Mercy (275) trails the Phoenix.
4. CASH MONEY CASS
Cassie Schiltz is tied with
Jasmine Kondrakiewicz for the most games played in program history (143). Schiltz was named Horizon League Player of the Week on January 6 for the second time in her career. Her five made threes against Oakland tied the most she's converted in a single game this season (1/2/25). She's also just four more made threes from moving into third all-time in program history.
5. GENKE HAS BEEN GREAT
Callie Genke is 9th in the country in three-point percentage (45.5). She currently has a career-high in:
- Field goal percentage (48.85).
- Three-point percentage (45.5).
- Free-throw percentage (82.35).
- Points per game (9.4).
